May the Lord God,
who raised Jesus Christ from the dead,
meet with you in unexpected places,
when you have exhausted your strength
have become discouraged.
When your sorrow has lasted for a night
(and then some)
may he bring joy in the morning.
May he invite you to join in fellowship with him,
to eat with him, and to commune with him,
as friends, and beloved disciples.
May you love him as you are loved by him.
May you be strengthened to serve him
and to feed his sheep.
May his resurrection
bring you life, eternal life,
which is his Father’s will.
